Early misgivings over what to expect from recent reviews were dismissed as soon as we got to the Mayflower Cruise Terminal, boarding was seamless, from check in to a glass in hand was just 20 minutes, Our Deluxe Cabin starboard/aft was large with an extended non overlooked balcony. it was clean spacious with a lovely touch of Champagne and Chocolates, a welcome return of dressing gowns and

This was a 1st family holiday, booked by our daughter and SIL, travelling with our granddaughter and inlaws. We have all cruised many times before and after reading the poor reviews I went with very low expectations. I think many of the reviews are unfounded. YEs the ship is huge but rarely felt mobbed even though this was the Easter holidays and the ship was full. Embarkation was a lot slower

This was our 5th P&O cruise and the 1st time on IONA. We travelled as a party of three, two adults and a teenager. This was also the largest number of fellow guest passengers we have ever sailed with circa 5.5k. The ship was full. Boarding that many passengers is always going to be a challenge, which was the case, slightly longer than normal with the process taking around 90 mins from parking the

Needs a complete re think on many of its services. Did a P&O 8 years ago and wasn't impressed but tried again to see how things have improved. Sadly I am unable to give a good review. Cabins are ok but if you don't put your sign on the door it won't be cleaned.. its apparently policy that staff can't go and clean unless you put a sign on your door... anyway.. you only get hand-wash, shower

We had some non-refundable cruise credits that were about to expire so we booked this short Easter cruise - with some trepidation. We'd only done a couple of very short/overnight trips in the past and were concerned that this one might be a bit of a party ship which, at our age, might be a bit overpowering. Actually it went surprisingly well! We had a full ship with its usual share of hen parties,

Our first cruise , amazing experience , excellent service , very clean and all staff couldn’t help enough. Fly cruise to the Caribbean. Prepaid excursions were well worth the money with excellent guides on the day. Unfortunately due to weather , one port stop had to be cancelled and P and O refunded the cost straight away . We upgraded to an outside cabin with balcony which was a blessing as the

We have been on Iona a number of times so as this is the sister ship, we expected a similar experience. So wrong there !Also, the staff came over as uninterested, some were just downright rude. It did not make for a happy atmosphere which for me totally ruined the holiday.Lets start with food. On the Iona, the Olive Grove is Italian fare. Not on Arvia. My Ceasar salad starter was literally

Cruise on Iona from Southampton to Canaries on a 2 week cruise after having been on the MSC Euribia the week before. I had my first cruise on the Azura in 2022.I had seen some reviews of the Iona described as Butlins at sea and my first impressions were that this was rubbish. However, by the second day, I realised they were absolutely right, it is definitely Butlins at sea and for a number of

Travelled on Iona to Portugal, Canaries and Spain Cadiz cancelled and only 6 other port days. Far too many people for the space, everything always booked up, weather not the best and the ship struggled on these many long sea days. Doors to corridor service hatches opening and banging all night on several nights. To top it off found a live bed bug in room on last day, no bites or evidence of
