6:21 pm

say this is expected to be the largest health club in the north bay. >> okay, hope you had a nice weekend. the weather was certainly cooperative, pleasant, cool, mild. a lot different than we saw throughout the month of july. july in the state of california was the hottest month ever recorded this july, and temperatures felt like it all, all month and temperatures this weekend. pretty mild for the most part. we can see the fog right now. this is a visible satellite, so it's like a picture, just a straight picture, not infrared taken from from the satellite. and you can see the fog pushing across the bay. you can see these clouds. those actually represent some tropical moisture. they made for a really beautiful sky today. but they are not. that's not fog. the fog is going to make it to most bay area locations tomorrow morning. these were the highs from today. and highs tomorrow will be about the same or a little cooler. temperatures today cooled a few degrees. this week is going to be so different than any weeks we've had this entire summer. we're going to see a mild pattern. you'll see it in the five day, but we are

6:22 pm

not going to get into the 90s. we're going to stay in the 80s and we're going to be mild or cool and fire danger will take a back seat. air quality should be good, fires in the north up by park fires should be helped by this pattern, which is a big low. it's kind of replacing that four corners high and the high that sits in the pacific. it's going to sit here and it's going to continue to just keep the inversion deep, keep the fog coming in. just like today and in cases next weekend, it looks like it's going to even cool a little bit more. so the idea this whole week and you'll see in the five day forecast the hot spots are going to be in the mid 80s, some upper 80s, but mostly mid 80s. those are those high clouds we talked about earlier on the satellite. on the visible satellite that's subtropical moisture. the current temperatures 81 in fairfield, 89 in brentwood pleasant and running a few degrees cooler, nine degrees cooler in fairfield than it would yesterday at this time, 12 degrees cooler in concord. so trend was down. temperatures tomorrow will be about the same or a little cooler. and it's these

6:23 pm

temperatures are going to hold. so there's tomorrow morning's fog forecast. that's not look that's not the subtropical stuff. that's actually fog and low cloud. and it burns back. and you see temperatures that are mild. so again if you've been bothered by the heat not this week. this week is going to be really pleasant. it'll be cool along the coast right. the fog. it will be a constant player there as you see here tomorrow morning. but in terms of temperatures, these numbers tomorrow will we can just roll these into tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday, sunday they'll be obviously fluctuations, some upper 80s, maybe even a couple low 90s far inland. but overall, i mean even sacramento is going to be struggling to get into the 90s at times this week. so it's kind of a it's a good pattern for us. it's going to be a chance to kind of take a deep breath because, you know, the fire danger has been kind of wears on all of us. and they are quality airs on all of us. and the heat wears on all of us. and you can see by these numbers that top tier numbers representing the hot spots. so when you're your hottest cities in the bay area

6:24 pm

are getting into the mid 80s, that means most of us are in the mid 70s. >> bill, thank you. one of the bay area's biggest car shows kicked into high gear today. the 28th annual hot august niles car show got underway this morning in fremont. car lovers from the bay area and beyond gathered in fremont, niles district. they're getting a firsthand look at both classic and modern day cars. and for one couple, this car show is a family affair. >> i have a 2007 shelby gt500 super snake right here, and my wife has the, 1953 chevrolet, 3100 pickup. >> the classic car show is also giving people a chance to check out the shops and restaurants in fremont niles district. >> more and more school districts are focusing on the mental health of their students. still ahead, the way it's being tegrat i
