I am so pleased to interview Alexa. Her debut novel, Deadly Offerings, has consistently made the top thirty of Amazon’s best seller list in romantic suspense. She has promised to share some hot details today, but first, let’s meet our guest.
Tell us a little about yourself, Alexa.
I’ve spent most of my career as a Training Director, helping others reach their true potential. All the while, I had this dream since childhood to write book after book.
How do you manage to fit writing into your busy schedule?
I view writing as my job, so I typically write from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day, using an hour or two for getting the word out about my book.
Without giving away too much, Deadly Offerings is brimming with passion and suspense. I love stories in which the hero and heroine are at odds and these two certainly have a past. And the villain in Deadly Offerings goes beyond suspenseful to scary.
My heroine, Anne Mason is starting over after a messy and contentious divorce. She’s moved into Golden Acres, the wind farm left to her by her ex’s mother. She’s not at all pleased to learn that her new next-door neighbor is county prosecutor Michael Brandt — the same man who represented her ex in the court proceedings. Still, Anne feels safe in her new, Midwestern home. Then someone starts leaving dead bodies in her corn field as “gifts” to her.
As the body count rises, Anne realizes a cold-blooded serial killer is patiently waiting and watching her every move. And he won’t stop until he ends her life. It is clear there are no limits to this killer’s thirst for revenge or how far he will go to get it. The unsettling part of this for Anne is that she has no idea who would want to hurt her.
Michael Brandt may be the new County Prosecutor but he is also her ex-husband’s attorney. He’s the last person Anne can trust, but may offer her only chance at survival from a psychopathic killer. But will she survive the passion that rages between them?

I really surprised myself when I created this video and my more technology savvy friends were amazed. I started the process by using PowerPoint to tell the story, then I added music, and a media software I’d never used. It was an adventure! It is posted on my webpage.
Deadly Offerings is your debut novel. Will it be part of a series?
Yes, Deadly Offerings is book one in the Deadly Trilogy.
Tell us about the second book in the Deadly Trilogy.
In Deadly Deception, readers will enter the disturbing world of illegal adoptions, baby trafficking and murder with new detective Lane Hansen and private investigator Frankie Douglas. Both were characters in Deadly Offerings.
Lane Hansen has a problem. He needs a woman to portray his wife in an undercover operation and the only females on his team are either very pregnant or who act like men and are built like linebackers. Then he remembers gorgeous P.I. Frankie Douglas — a woman who could take his breath away by her beauty and take him down in 2.5 seconds. Unfortunately, he’s the same woman he treated like a one night stand six months before. Frankie Douglas has a problem also. She wants to rid the world of one baby trafficking killer. The only way to do that is to partner with Lane Hanson, the man who disappeared from her life after a night of mind-blowing sex.
They’ve been warned! Getting personally involved with a partner can put cases and lives at risk. Going undercover as husband and wife, Lane and Frankie struggle to keep their relationship strictly professional as their sizzling passion threatens to burn out of control.

The third book of the Deadly Trilogy is Deadly Relations which focuses on Jennifer Brennan and Blake Stone. Many multi-published authors in print and ebooks, even New York Times Bestselling authors, have self-published releases. Tell us about your decision to go self-published.
My journey started last March when the Sr. Director position I’d held for thirteen years was eliminated. At first I was devastated, and then I decided that life is like a bank account. Once you spend it, it’s gone.
My dream since childhood was to write book after book. So I poured myself into writing Deadly Offerings, my first book. The more I wrote, the more I got into the story and it felt wonderful.
I’d done a lot of Internet research about self-publishing and read articles about the top self-publishers and it inspired me so on December 27th I launched Deadly Offerings, which is available on Amazon.
